Name

The unique name that represents a particular geometry property for the active feature type. This property is stored in the FeatureGeometry table.

Geometry Type

The property's geometry type. The following values are available: Point, Line, Area, Annotation, Text.

Placement Type

The type of placement to be applied to the geometry property. This setting determines where the feature type symbol will be displayed on the map as well as any associated label or annotation. The following values are available: At Work Location, At Work Location Offset (the amount of offset is specified by the end user), Inline, Offline. The Inline and Offline options are available only when the Geometry Type is Point.

Category

The category of the geometry property. The following values are available: Normal, Network, Annotation. The Network setting should be selected for feature types that support network connectivity. Expert Designer uses the geometry category internally to distinguish between certain operations.

Font

Specifies the font for any Annotation or Text objects displayed for the feature type. Clicking the Font column displays a button that opens a standard Font dialog box. The Font field is enabled only when Geometry Type is set to Annotation or Text.

New button

Adds an empty row to the grid for creating a new geometry property.

Delete button

Removes the geometry property from the definition of the current feature type.
